Urban GIS is a forward-thinking, full-service geographic information systems (GIS) consulting firm with specialized knowledge in infrastructure and engineering.

We provide our clients with a range of services, including GIS Professional Consulting, Application Development, Field Services and ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Consulting. We also assist with staff augmentation and training.

Our solutions apply across markets such as transportation, utilities, and various levels of government.

Urban GIS is an Esri Release Ready Silver Partner and has extensive experience in development, support, implementation, and analysis with the Esri platform. We’re ArcGIS System ready and active in the ArcGIS Marketplace.

As a Chicago-based, minority-owned small business (MBE/DBE certified), we strive to deliver exceptional project results and build long-lasting relationships through innovative services and client satisfaction. To build those relationships, Urban GIS has expanded its national footprint to include a presence in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, and Tampa.

Urban GIS is the founder of the Ethnically Diverse Geospatial Engagement (E.D.G.E.) initiative, which aims to build a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) focused network within the geospatial community that increases the exposure, opportunities and advancement of individuals, companies and organizations of ethnically diverse backgrounds.

Urban GIS was established in the heart of Chicago in 2007.  The driving force behind this endeavor was to bridge the information gap among planners, designers, developers, and managers.  We’ve since expanded our national footprint to include a presence in Tampa, Atlanta, Denver, and Houston.

The experience we’ve gained over the years helps us understand how to make your geospatial data work for you.  We provide our clients with a range of services and our team of experts works collaboratively to provide smart solutions to your organizational needs.

He’s an analytical and results oriented leader who takes a hands-on approach to solving problems. Keith is dedicated to equipping the next generation of STEM leaders.

Matthew McLeod is project manager and GIS analyst with over 20 years of experience in the field of geomatics.  He  received his Bachelor of Science in geography from the University of Georgia in 2001. With extensive experience in management of both field data collection techniques and GIS design and implementation, Matthew is articulate, driven, and dynamic in finding solutions to geospatial problems and is committed to delivering spatially-enabled decision support.

Kathryn Juliano is a versatile GIS Specialist with over 15 years for Urban Planning and technical consulting experience in various fields including transportation, utilities and community development.  Kathryn obtained a Master of Urban Planning and Policy (MUPP), with a concentration in Public Administration, from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to GIS project work, Kathryn oversees Urban GIS’ Quality Management Program.
