Power Pole Inspection

Urban GIS provided The Will Group with audits of power pole guys in the Chicago Metropolitan area (~22,600). Utilizing IKE Office solutions, each ComEd power pole was inspected to assess the physical status and level of public safety. In addition to IKE Office solutions, we utilized AGOL suite of features to enable successful inspection operations by a 20+ member field team. The use of AGOL allowed real-time operator and collection statuses to effectively apportion team resources and time to target the areas as needed by The Will Group’s schedule. Results of the field inspection audit and data collection will allow ComEd to identify areas of public safety concern for correction and repair. This data will also allow ComEd to be able to nimbly react to system failures and damage by having a more complete knowledge of system component status.
