About this Project
The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (CCDTH) required updated pavement condition information for each highway system within their jurisdiction. Working with Dynatest North America (DNA), we provided a pavement condition review of all major Cook County roads and highways. Our team created an up-to-date street file with key attribution used to perform comprehensive pavement analysis for CCDTH.
We updated the current street file to include geography for all County jurisdictional streets. In addition to this, we uniquely identified and sectioned the pavement system to incorporate Pavement Condition Indices (PCI) along with other relevant attribution required for a holistic pavement condition review. These attributes include AADT, bridge decks, median information, curb and gutter type, and turn lane details.
The survey and analysis performed by our team will lead future pavement evaluations and assessments of County roads and highways. CCDTH is now able to make real-time, accurate, and spatially-enabled decisions on future capital improvement programs thanks to the final street file and geodatabase with associated PCI and attribution values.
